WRGB:

A WINTER STORM WATCH is in effect for all of eastern New York and western New England from Friday afternoon through Saturday morning.
Cold air will gradually press into the Northeast today and especially tonight setting the stage for snow on Friday and Friday night. How significant a snow storm remains in question as it is far to early to accurately forecast storm track and intensity. The latest available data, however, is more strongly suggesting a storm, forming over north Georgia Friday morning, which will track to the mid Atlantic coast Friday evening, then either through eastern New England or east of New England Friday night. A strong storm tracking over eastern New England would favor heavy snow here. However, storm intensity is also uncertain at this time but will ultimately play a major role in how much snow falls. Regardless, it is looking very likely that some accumulating snow will fall over much of the region beginning as early as Friday morning and ending sometime early Saturday morning. Travel conditions will likely become slow and slipperly through that time period..
