Website showed the Summit Quad on hold all day. Was that the case, or did they just not update the conditions page?

The summit quad aka chair 6 officially opened at 8:59 with some exceptional powder on Skyward in particular. It then went down for day at 11:18 due to high winds.

Hmmm......so it went largely unskied for the day, and with the wind and some new snow it's probably a powder day on tap up there tomorrow. My brother and I are hitting the road early tomorrow and still haven't decided between Gore and Whiteface. I'm tempted to save the extra 45 minutes of driving and hit Gore........but if the summit is prime than maybe we'll hoof it all the way up.
