My advice ... get your Goretex out and ski this weekend if you can. (Sorry to say I can't).

Calls for QPF amounts show the Cats getting the most. Less the farther north you go. NWS seems to be backing off amounts for the Adks.

Check back in on Mon to see what we've lost.

Then go to the longterm. Multiple sources are indicating some potential for one or two more events.

That's always iffy this late in the season but it is a possibility.

Jason will be following it.

I am holding out hope for this weekend. Probably one of my last for the season. The forcast seems to get better everytime I check. Hoping it won't be too bad. The wife isn't a big fan of riding in the w#t.

I only got one day (saturday) the epic weekend. The whole family was sick on Sunday plus our water heater went. Glad we were there when that happened, but bummed that I didn't get more of the goods. Another 12+" storm in the next week sure would be nice.

pray for cold Canadian air. Looking like Saturday will be better than Sunday unless we get really lucky.

Danno .. I saw that this afternoon. It's very odd.

I didn't think a WSW was normally issued for ice or frz r**n.

I have asked an expert for clarification.

This is also bizzare:

Nice day! Took my bicycle out for a spin. It felt really good. Was kinda odd to be pedaling in shorts and t-shirt past West Mtn and looking over to see people skiing. We still have some skiing left.

Like Sponge said, spring storm....Party's On! I remember 7-8 years ago, it got warm like this early in March. I was thinking skiing was done, so I went and bought a new bicycle. Rode it a week or so then Winter returned with cold temps and snow. I put away my new bike and got the skis back out. I eventually lost that bike to a thief. It wigs ya out when someone steals yo bike!!!....something primevally wrong about it. Perhaps cuz it's our first ever set of true wheels.

If the weather stays the way it is, I'm getting our quads out. Those are alot of fun!!! Fwiw, if you ever buy a quad, get the sport models, they're more fun than the 4x4s, easier, faster, plus they fly and handle better.

I biked today for the first time too, then went for a short hike with rossi. I really wanted to go out and ride my road bike, and then I realized I don't have one. My brother took his with him down to his place in CT.

Quads are fun. 4x4's are great for mudding and utility work, sports are fun for riding fast basically anywhere.

a lil fyi expansion on what ADKskier said about the recent r**n.

The yellow plated flatlanders will likely not be impressed. They had their own deluge recently that swept Springsteen away to somewhere in the swamps of Jersey.

GREAT day today. Very good coverage all over the mountain except for wild air and the bottom third of everything on the front. It was clear and sunny but it stayed pretty cold all day so it never really softened up. Didn't hit the darkside at all. Everything else was carvable with edges. Twister was my pick of the day.

They will be closed on Monday and Tuesday. Get out and get it. It is surprisingly good and our days are numbered.

Closed Wednesday, too. I think they're trying to stretch it to the weekend after Easter.

I like that. Maybe I can ski in the morning and kayak in the afternoon on Minerva Creek like I did 2 years ago.

WSW for points North.

If anything falls and sticks in NC or at 1500 feet would love to know. Since I track snow before the lift open, I'd like to be consistent and record post lift snow too.

If you've got the flex, grab your sticks and hit the northern green spine. Could be big.

FYI Lies still looked good on Friday ... Jeff what were we thinking? Wink

Just a welcome NCP event here. 34 degrees. Good thing. It's been dry. CNN just said 6-12" elevational snow for the Dacks.

You gonna post the Mega Harv Snow Total? I'll guess 120".

I am sure its buried (no pun intended) in here somewhere, curious what this season's total compares to the 10 or 25 year average at the mountain.
