From the NWS this afternoon:

HOWEVER EARLY ON CHRISTMAS DAY
A CYCLONE IS FORECAST TO FORM ALONG THE AIR MASS BOUNDARY
ON THE CAROLINA COAST AND MOVE NORTHEAST TO THE DELMARVA
BY TUESDAY MORNING...AND THEN TO EAST OF CAPE COD BY
WEDNESDAY MORNING. THE MODELS HAVE NOT BEEN CONSISTENT WITH
THIS STORM AND THEREFORE CONFIDENCE IS LOW...BUT THERE IS
DEFINITELY THE POTENTIAL FOR A SIGNIFICANT WINTER STORM ON
THE EAST COAST.

Be advised that this was cherry picked out of a bunch of bad news!
