After a couple of sizable snow threats in the West over the next ten
days, the upper level trough is going to reform in the Great Lakes and
East, which will produce below normal temps with several snow threats
during the first half of the month of March. After that, there are some
early signs that the cold air could retreat into Canada and result in an
early spring in a good portion of the United States...two exceptions to
that development would likely be the Pacific Northwest and the
Northeast...the cold air would tend to hang on longer in those two
regions, with troughs remaining in place. Let's not dwell on that too
much right now, though...the whole nation is blessed with great snow
conditions this President's day...it's prime time for the season of
