A TOTAL SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATION OF 8 TO 14 INCHES BY EARLY FRIDAY EVENING.

That's in Wilmington, let's hope all snow as you get higher up the mountain. We suffered early season, but Mother Nature is making it up to us late. :D

Hate to throw this thought out there, but...............

The reason sleet will be mixing in is because of warmer air in the upper layers of the atmosphere. Does this make it more likely that you'll see more sleet and less snow as you get higher up in the mountains? What usually happens up there with these types of storms?

all of Essex County is in the snow on this mornings weather map.. the warm air aloft is concearning - however a "heavier" mositure laden snow could assit w/ melding on slides...

regardless snowpack on the mtn will be excellent even if we do get some sleet. early morning crusin 4sure this weekend!

then I get a birthday storm follwed by a St Patricks present to match the V-day monster!! March is gonna rock!

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BURLINGTON HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR THE NORTHERN ADIRONDACKS... WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 9 PM EST FRIDAY. THE WINTER STORM WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

SNOW IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP BETWEEN 10 PM AND MIDNIGHT ACROSS THE NORTHERN ADIRONDACKS...WITH 3 TO 5 INCHES OF SNOWFALL EXPECTED BY DAYBREAK ON FRIDAY. SNOW WILL BE HEAVY AT TIMES FRIDAY MORNING AND MAY MIX WITH OR CHANGE TO SLEET AT TIMES FRIDAY MORNING. THE SNOW WILL TAPER OFF TO SCATTERED SNOW SHOWERS FRIDAY EVENING. Good news for the mt/ but Igotta drive up from joisey friday. Was bad enuf getting home sunday. Some idiot nearly took me out doing a 720 (at least) on the Turnpike.
