Ken, Bill and the gang wrapped up another very successful season yesterday. Whiteface NASTAR was #10 in the country in racer usage. I believe WF was the only Eastern Mountain to crack the top 10.

Great job guys. The NASTAR experience adds alot to those of us who enjoy.

TakeItTootheSlopes tried it for the first time on Saturday and now he wishes he had been doing it all season. :)

Last run I dropped in the nastar track from valley. I did not realize there was a wall cut into the side of the trail. I ducted under the rope and before I could do anthing I was going of it right onto a flat landing. Smushy so it did not hurt but it got my attention. The ropes are there for a reason

I was skiing w/ him on a New York night at Jiminy Peak when we decided to go off trail for powder under a liftline. Well since it was night and the liftline was not lite up he did not see the rope strung across the maintenance access road. It was neck high, taut - unyielding since it was secured to two large maple trees!!!

Took him right off his feet; slinging him forward at least six feet before he landed in a heap of gasping humanity.

A dude, that was thinking the same thing, was under the lift and witnessed it all. After TJF stopped gasping for air, the skier dude asked if he could laugh? TJF did not find any humor in the situation at all!

He went into the lodge and after we took, another couple runs, I went to check on him. He looked like a cartoon version of Jay Leno. His chin had swollen in an elongated manner (about 4 inches forward) and his neck reminded me of a Buck during the rut -all thick and swollen!

Ouch!

In his defense, he was following ski tracks and just did not expect a rope and it was a dark night.
