30, they just seem to do the work of 300 ( now if that isn't good for a few employee drafts next season then..... ).

feeling understaffed, or what!

I have a cousin who has been one at Kmart for about 10 years.

They call us Mt. Hosts as they do at Gore and other areas per NSP Mt. Host program.

We help out in the parking lots morning and afternoon, helping people unload their gear and keeping trafic moving through the unloading zones.

Meet and greet top of gondi and summit.

Lunch duty - making sure no one brings skis and snowboards in the lodge.

Crowd control at races, boarder cross, etc.

Help out skiers/riders on the mounain. For example, skiers on a black that shouldn't be.

Be of assistance to ski patrol at accident scene when appropriate.

Help out at NASTAR when needed.

When unforseen circumstances occur we are often called to assist.

We also work the Oct. Fest in the summer.

It certainally isn't as glamerous as snow sports or ski patrol, but I wouldn't trade. We have a great group of people in the Mt. Host program. We also know our efforts are appreciated by management and that helps too.

The perks are season pass and familypass/or comps after your first season. We also get food and drink discounts. We have a locker room that we share with the saftey patrol. PLUS the great feeling that you are a small part of making Whiteface the great place it is.
