I'm not really local, but was just looking at some info...looks like NOAA is not exactly sure if it will be snow or mixed in LP, looks like big snow south in the mighty Mohawk Valley..

While there is still a bit of uncertainty, things are looking better for Whiteface this Sunday. Too early to predict snow totals, but the mountain could see a decent amount of snow out of this. Will know for sure tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed.

Whiteface is in a better position than most other mountains in the northeast with this storm-- that's for sure.

I live in LP and this is the forecast I saw this morning...

A winter storm watch remains in effect from this evening (Friday) through Sunday morning.
A complex winter storm will spread a wintry mix of snow, sleet, freezing rain and rain across the north country late this afternoon through Saturday. The potential exists for 6 or more inches of snow and sleet accumulation across the central northern adirondack mountains and far northern champlain valley by Sunday morning. Meanwhile, a light to moderate ice accumulation along with lesser amounts of snow and sleet will be possible across the remainder of the champlain valley as well as northern and central vermont by Sunday morning. A winter storm watch means the potential exists for more than 6 inches of snow or significant ice accumulation.
