The interactive trail map has not changed yet on the web site, but when I went to lift status it has. Nice to see. :D

When I drove by yesterday there was a twinkling coming from the new lift. I have to assume that the new chairs that were hung.

Wait. We're back to numbering the lifts??

OK.....But, the summit quad isn't Lift 6?? Sacrilege!!

I predict some tourists will be confused if they ask an old-timer for directions to "Lift 6"....

Does that mean we have lifts 11, 12, and 13 in our future, or was this just a typo?

i saw 14 at first as well, but take a closer look it's 11 not 14

I would vote to leave them all with names, and just add look out triple, that way, summit quad could still be chair 6, and we would have the luxury of calling other older lifts by name or old number designations. Just my thoughts.

i say change number AND NAME every year, just to confuse the hell out of everyone...

Still, you could make the call either way.

I wonder why that happened as "1" looks like "1" everywhere else on the page?

Maybe our new web master will chime in on this one ( no pun intended ).

I stand corrected, thanks for pointing that out. The white-ish coloring in the middle of the red dot falls on the second 1 in just the right spot that it looks like a 4 at first glance. But is is a 1.

For me, the two chairs I usually referred to by number were Lift 6 (i.e., Summit Quad) and Lift 7 (i.e., Freeway).

I'd suggest the following re-numbering to keep this bit of history intact, while also numbering the lifts that start at the base 1 through 4. I realize the numbering doesn't make as much sense, geographically, as the "current" map, but, it's all kind of arbitrary....The idea is 1-4 = base area lifts; 5-6 = upper mountain lifts; 7-9 = Little WF lifts; 10-11 = Kids Kampus lifts.

1 - Mixing Bowl (same on "current" map)
2 - Gondola (same on "current" map)
3 - Bear (same on "current" map)
4 - Facelift (same on "current" map)
5 - Lookout Mt (instead of "current" 11)
6 - Summit Quad (instead of "current" 10)
7 - Freeway (instead of "current" 5)
8 - Mt Run (instead of "current" 6)
9 - Little WF (instead of "current" 7)
10 - Bunny Hutch Triple (instead of "current" 9)
11 - Rope tow/magic carpet (instead of "current" 8 )

The Prance conditions map is in final stages of testing.

the lift names will continue to be the same as in previous years. The numbers come into play only for the prance lift map in order for lift lines to correspond to the names listed in the box to the right. The order/numbers will change as lifts open/close.

Oh and I just called the mountain and this is what they told me :)
