No blowing on Lower Sunway, Wild Air, or Showcase . . .

I was expecting action on all three . . . C'mon Gore! Kick it in gear!

weak, i don't know why they're focusing their efforts on foxlair... i don't think anyone really seeks out skiing that trail, i always saw it as more of a connector trail to get you down to the front face of the mountain, same with ruby/fairview. i would have much rather seen them blowing on showcase, wildair, or at least have the base of sunway open as promised.

Are they housing Burnt Ridge with guns? I'd expect them to do that for the promotional marketing aspect of getting it open ASAP.

I'd guess that Burnt Ridge will not be a high priority. The X-C access past the old Gore - e- Gully will require natural snow cover. Only 2 trails on Burnt Ridge have snow making for this season.

That makes me really happy to hear.

I saw those sleds too.

What good does Sleighride do anybody?

It's beyond me why they aren't working on it. They'd be able to take the disclaimer of the site about no beginner terrain open.

The only thing I can possibly think of opening sleighride for would be to start getting the park set up . . . I think it's fine where it is now for the time being . . .

I think Lower Sunway, Showcase (to The Arena), and Wild Air should be priority (In that order) . . .

I wonder if they are still making snow at full capacity?

Like I said Sleighride should be LAST on the list.

According to the website...snowmakers are "moving to the summit."

Also according the the website, I am now part of the "Gore Mountain Staff":

Comon Auntie Em that's my photo!

If I am part of the staff...I have some input on the PARKING situation.

Wasn't there a lot more open at this time last year :?:

This might be the result of less money from the State. The State just announced that there will be no ice skating at the Empire State Plaza in Albany this year . . . AFTER they finished setting up the rink.

We had better hope that Mother Nature takes up the slack.

Here's (http://forums.skiadk.com/viewtopic.php?t=1597) last year's thread and Here's (http://forums.skiadk.com/viewtopic.php?t=855) two years ago.

It looks like we're right on track for what we had the last couple of years . . .
