well i got good and bad,the good first i guess, what they had open was pretty good, early on it was real good, never got bad at all,now for the bad-got there early,im just happy i got my pass early, the line was long and they were having problems, stood in line for the gondi for at least 45 minutes waiting for the go,finally after 9:00 they started loading, like i said what they did have open was good, but in my opinion they should have had a lot more to pick from.the hill was covered in snow,it was like full on winter up there, all in all it was a good 1st day.and yea ill go tomorrow,so it must of been not too bad.ididnt go but there were some tracks where there shouldnt have been tracks,if you no what i mean.that is all.

Yeah, I'm glad I got there around 9 . . . the line was out to the parking lot when I rolled up.

I took my time getting my boots on and my eqipment set, and started skiing aroung 9:30, when the line had dwindled down to a reasonable wait.

Skied Topridge a few times, did one on Pine Knot, went back to Topridge until lunch @ 12:00. Started skiing again at around 12:30, skied Topridge until 2:00 and called it a day. Toprdige was good . . . started to get a little skied off in the middle by the end of the day, but I saw some snowmakers gearing up for something on the side of the trail (hopefully another coat). Pine Knot was garbage, and had a lot of really bad, really fast, and really out of control skiers.

Ruby run was okay for what it was (connector), and I didn't have any trouble making it to Saddle without poling. Hit the booter they had next to Saddle, it was about a 10-12' tabletop, nothing too big.

The worst part of the day was Quicksilver. I only had to ski iit twice (when I came down for lunch and when I came down at the end of the day), but twice was more than enough . . . There were some people on that trail who ddid not belong on any blue. Between the injuries being tended to by ski patrol, the random snow mounds interspersed with ice, and the aforementioned horrible skiers, it was a freakin' minefield. Like I said, twice was more than enough.

All in all, though, it was a good first day out for me. hopefully my legs will be good tomorrow so I can do it all over again (and hopefully they have lower sunway open).
