will be held this year on Saturday, 3/21... just a few weeks away! :D

So who's planning on entering? I for one plan on being there... and I hope HPD and JTR will join in on the fun. It was a blast last year... good times, prizes and some laughs too. A great way to spend your day on the slopes. 8)

What trail do they run it on? Same one every year?

I've only done it the past 2 years. It's been on Lower Hawkeye.

It's always on Hawkeye. . . Although I think they should hold all contests on the Arena . . . Makes for good Deck viewing.

It ain't a real bump contest unless somebody's talkin some smack. 8)

It would be cool if you could see the contest from the deck. Is that terrain steep enough?

For the skiers, I'd think Hawkeye is preferred.

For the EVENT, it's gotta be the Arena. Right there, in front of the deck, lots of people watching....

Hope someone can take some videos and post the links of how it turns out--I won't be able to make it. At least you won't have to hear me heckling you from above..."Faster! Faster!"

Will the course be open Friday to the public. If so I think I'll head to Gore for some pratice on it.

The Gore website says that the contest will be visible from the lodge. Without snow-making temps, they need to push around a lot of snow to create a bump run. This year is likely to be a light weight event.
