I have a Peterson footbed that was done at Inside Edge/Reliable Racing in early 1996 that I now have in my 3rd pair of boots (Salomon Falcon 10) and I'm wondering if I need new ones.

I don't know whether 10 years of karate training (I quit 6 years ago) changed my feet. The karate training beat to hell out of my feet (and everything else) over those years. I do know that some of my shoes, and occasionally my ski boots (if I'm not careful about how tight I crank up the buckles too soon in the day), cause a sort of numbness in the ring and middle toes on my right foot.

Has anyone else replaced their custom orthotics and noticed if it made a difference? Also, has anyone had a footbed done at Steiners?

I have. I've also recommanded him to many people. Everyone who goes raves about the fitting they've had there. The fitters name is Gerrick, he is also the owner. You can't go wrong.

Did all your ski boots cause this numbness? perhaps your current ones do not fit well. have you fractured that foot before?

if all your footwear causes this problem and your getting " long in the tooth " you maybe experiencing circulatory issues, PAD. if it persists consult the Doc and switch feet when inserting it up someone's .........

My boots don't cause a problem that frequently. Some of my footwear cause it all the time. Some never do. I've never fractured my foot, but I do have some kind of recurring problem there.

I guess it's time to see a specialist BEFORE I look into new orthotics.

Typical male. I hate going to the doctor :x
