Snowballs,

Please refresh my memory. I had dinner after leaving Gore one evening at a bar/restaurant/motel. I believe I made a right at the base of Peaceful Valley Rd. to get there. I think their may have been a firehouse somewhere in the vicinity of the establishment. The rooms at the motel were basic, and I believe it was the type of place with parking lot access to the rooms only. I recall the food was excellent, I believe I had bass of some sort. I am looking to lodge there MLK weekend if the price is right.

Thanks

I wish I could help you Jon, but i don't know where you are refering to. I have very little knowledge of places to stay at Gore.

Others here do know more and will surely chime in soon. For me it's Gore, then Stewart's for a coffee and home.

Hmm, it could be "Black Mountain" is not far from intersection Rt. 8 and P.V. Road. At that intersection there is Johnsburgh Volunteer F.D.
Black Mountain would be also my first choice. Clean rooms, one of the best restaurants in area, very close to mountain. Call them now to make sure there is room.

Dinner is 5 to 9 and around 7 it's quite a wait, mention room you're staying in and they'll call you.
