There's a great shop called The Source that sells new and used gear of all kinds. They have a big selection of ski equipment. They also tune skis.

It's a really cool laid back place and they also sell on consignment.

Check it out...right by the 4 way stop signs.

Thanks PQ. I bought a couple things in there this summer. They do consignment too I think. Thinking about giving them some old equipment to sell.

I didn't know that they tune too. Nice to know there is another option in NC.

I just found out about the tuning recently. They ground the bases of all my skis when I was there last month. They also will adjust and/or mount bindings.

It's a consignment shop too. Great place to unload gear.

http://www.thegearsourceonline.comI bought a bunch of stuff there last summer. Jeff seems like a really nice guy.

Did you like the job they did on your skis? What are they charging?

I got a pair of ski boots for our daughter for FIVE BUCKS. She's "skiing" em with the price tags still on em.

PDQ turned me on to that place - those guys are really cool.

Honestly, I haven't used the skis that I had the bases ground yet, so I can't tell you as per skiing, but they look flat, sharp and nice. I am bringing a pair in tomorrow for grinding, so I will let you know what they charge me then. We bought a bunch of things there, so I don't remember what it cost, however, I know it was reasonable and much less than I pay here.

That seems to be the new trend lately... Leaving tags on shoes, hats ect.. , she must be a hip little girl
