I havn't hiked Black Mt. yet, but hope to do so soon. The other hikes I've done witk Lake George views are Prospect, Buck and Sleeping Beauty. Does the Black Mt. trail compare to any of those?

Oh, that looks good. I think I might have to go for a hike this weekend! I should probably bring my rock skis, huh?

I have hiked prospect, it was a long time ago so i dont remeber to well. Becuae im a youngin i havn't hiked much, but am getting into it.

Im planning on doing tounge buck and sleeping beauty this summer. Black is great views but you need to find them due to trees. You can see the north end of the lake perfect from the fire tower area, I could actually see the white of my neighbors boathouse in gull bay. You can see anthony's nose down to rodgers rock.

As for the south end view you have to walk to the south side of the summit, there was a deer trail that i took and there are good views once you find them, some bush wacking needed but its only a 5 minute ordeal.

You can see Champlain as well but becuase of the clouds i only saw it for a minute our so and it wasnt totally clear
