So I go to school about 1:20 away from Whiteface and often the snow report online isnt updated until 8 or later. Is there a number I can call which would allow me to access trail conditions sooner?

I live 2 hrs. away, and have to take my chances. What I try to do watch the weather reports the night before, however they do not give area specific reports. Snow making makes a great difference, you will usually have good conditions early morning regardless, unless it is pouring rain. I don't think the patrol gets out to check trails before 7:45 -- 8:00 am.
