I said "on or before" 11/12 so I would get the Saturday, Friday and Thursday prior. (As far as you know that was my reasoning and I didn't just screw up )

"Doof"??? That really hurts.

you cant do on or before. you have to pick a date. if we are playing on or before, i'll just make all my dates april 1 and then i will win. What do I get if i win? I am the only one that said oct for 6 inches. last year we had six inches in oct. i am going to win!!!!! what do i get?

That's not the right attitude. Think cold. Think snow. 8)

That's def. not the attitude to have... last winter they did a great job blowing snow and it held very well even with a few december and november mild days.
Also - if they have even slush and icy junk down, the snow that does fall stays around better.
By the way- what do i get for nailing the snowmaking start date?

You will find out when they start making snow

manmade snow is a necessary evil. it does nothing to help the natural snow, it actually hurts it. natural snow does not stick to manmade nearly as well as it would to a natural layer. ya, it will stay around longer because it's been compressed, but it is in no way better.

I think i get what you are saying...my point was that i'd rather have a base down so that whatever natrual snow that does fall and stays on the trails will not be wasted jsut trying to cover up the grass and rocks.
