Whiteface Mountain begins snowmaking
In anticipation of the opening of the 2006-07 winter season, Whiteface will offer media the opportunity to capture, up close, the sights and sounds of the snowmaking procedure. Mountain management will be available during the process to answer questions. Anticipated opening day for skiing and riding is Nov. 24, weather-permitting.
WHO: Whiteface management and snowmakers
WHAT: The early stages of snowmaking. Based on weather conditions, Whiteface snow guns will be perched on the Excelsior trail as well as Upper Valley.
WHEN: Monday November 6 at 9:30 AM
WHERE: All media are asked to meet outside the Whiteface Marketing office on the main level of the base lodge (down the hall from the Food Court). Press will then be taken uphill to snowmaking locations.
