Here they are:

Registration
Currently, we do not allow anonymous posting. In order to participate in the forum discussions, you must register (http://forums.skiadk.com/profile.php?mode=register). However, unregistered visitors can still browse the forums. Registration is simple and free. You will need to provide a valid Email address, but it will not be used to contact you on matters other than those specifically pertaining to the forums. By registering, members agree to abide by the forum policies set forth below. SkiADK.com, by its discretion, reserves the right to revoke the registration of offenders of the policies defined here. Once banned from the forums, these visitors will permanently be unable to post topics, reply to threads, or actively participate on the forums.

Posting Guidelines Flaming: Posting of any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-oriented or any other material that may violate any applicable local, state, federal or international laws is not allowed. Flaming (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flaming) may lead to being immediately and permanently banned. The IP address of all posts is recorded to aid in enforcing these conditions. The administrator and moderators of this forum reserve the right to delete, edit, move, or lock any topic at any time should they see fit. Trolling: Any message deemed a "troll" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_troll) post made only to instigate debate or conflict will be permanently deleted. Chronic offenders of this policy will be warned one time. If the behavior continues, the member may be banned. Language: Please try to keep your posts free of offensive or vulgar language. The administrator and moderators of this forum reserve the right to delete or edit any or all offensive words from any post as they see fit. Chronic offenders of this policy will be warned one time. If the behavior continues, the member may be banned. If you're unsure whether you should include a particular word in your post, the best approach is to simply leave it out. Advertisements/Promotions: Historically, messages containing links to products or relevant Websites have been allowed. Provided the link is in direct response to a message requesting such information, or is on topic and considered valuable enough that it warrants its own thread, these types of links will continue to be allowed. However, links posted by a non-contributing member (e.g. a member posting a product link as their first and only post) may be deleted. The administrator and moderators reserve the right to edit or delete any topic containing an advertisement/promotion at any time. The best approach is to become a contributing member to build some credibility before promoting anything. Political Posts: Political posts are not allowed. Any political topic that is started will be immediately deleted. Any thread that degenerates into a political debate will result in either the political posts within the thread being deleted, or if all other points regarding the initial topic have been made, the thread may be locked. The administrator and moderators reserve the right to edit or delete any topic containing a political post at any time.Cookies

I voted no which might surprise you but there wasn't anything there I find too restrictive. It's in their enforcement that the devil lurks.

The restriction on politics seems bizarre. Everything, at some level, is political. How do you draw the line?

Fair enough. I'll start a new thread/poll about politics.

Nothing good can come out of discussing politics. The ban on politics is a good one.

what's "politics"? Is talk about global warming (which will have a great effect on skiing, btw) a political discussion or a scientific one? Moreover, WF is located in the Adirondack Park and is under, at least in part, APA jurisdiction. How can you discuss trail/lift expansion without discussing APA and DEC regs, the Forever Wild Clause in the NYS Constitution and, ultimately, politics? Who's gonna decide when the discussion is about politics?

The whole World is "politics". The human condition is "politics".

You and I are "politics".

Yea...politics- right out.
Unless Nacy Pelosi or Bill Frist are blowing snow at whiteface I really don't care to read about that...
oh- yea NY State goverment decisions to give money to ORDA and the Tree Island pod are not politics.

Don't think anyone would dissagree with anything you've pointed out. Think what JTR and I were referring to would be more of the obvious bs bantering back and forth blah, blah, blah stuff about this guy is better than that guy 'cause he didn't do anything bad thing. Or at least he/she didn't get caught.

World, human, you and I politics, you got it.

If you allow anonymous postings no one would be accountable, If you allow this, the site would be pulled from whiteface and or sponsors in one week. A free for all would give you Greg and HDP a major headache. I have been in this forum no more than two weeks and have learned alot about everything from skiing to human nature,I have also seen alot of dedication to correcting the sight and guiding it foward, keep up the good work T2S
