WF says it will be open on Friday. Temps have been 55 and sunny. Anyone know what the trails are really like? Is one day of snow blowing enough to have a good weekend of skiing? Anyone know?

Heard from a couple of weatherman friends, and Friday's patterns are so way up in the air ( no pun intended ) that, at this point, you can't make a call one way, or the other.

Hope, and pray for an early drop of that cold front is all I can say.

Are you trying to make a grown man cry TJ? Not going to open!?!?!?!?! I can't except that. Even if there's only a 5 foot wide path of snow I'll ski it. The snow gods are angry. We should make a sacrifice or something.

Given the weather of the past week and the system entering the region
tonight and tomorrow, Whiteface has delayed its re-opening until Sunday,
Dec. 3, weather and conditions permitting. Skiers and riders are encouraged
to get the latest info by checking the conditions page at www.whiteface.com
or call the Coca-Cola Snow Phone at
1-877-SKI-FACE.

When the heavy rain comes it will be depressing, but after that it looks like 24 hour snowmaking temps for the next 10 days. Some snow is in the forcast for 5 of those. Keep a stiff upper lip, better days are coming.

And, of course, the Prance conditions page still says they'll be open tomorrow.

Seriously. The forecast for after this storm looks awesome. Next weekend should hopefully have a ton of terrain open with a week of solid snowmaking.

This actually works out pretty well for me as I have a ton of schoolwork and stuff to do for my graduate school application.

Its been raining for 12 hours up here and it does not show any signs of letting up. People up here are starting to get a wierd attitude becasue of the weather. It was 65 degrees yesterday while I was driving around.

Its gotten noticably colder here in Canton, down into the 30's but still raining. Hopefully it turns to snow tonight.
