was the first day of unexpectedly good skiing. Very little ice and lots of nice soft snow on upper NW. Mt. Run was a sheet of ice. Crowds were heavy; you had to wait in line at the gondola. I guess Coke day brings them in. WF might have its first fatality on its hands. A NSA kid hit the rocks and lift tower at the bottom of Mt. Run. Had to medivac him out. Not good.
