Bonus time for Whiteface non-holiday season pass holders

WILMINGTON, N.Y. – Attention Whiteface non-holiday season pass holders. Just as winter has returned to the Adirondacks, Whiteface is presenting a January White Sale which will allow you to ski or ride on Monday, January 15.

This day was previously blacked out, but not now. Skiers and boarders can take advantage of this week’s natural snowfall – a total of nine inches since Monday – and the manmade accumulation being generated by Whiteface’s improved snowmaking and grooming systems. The mountain, managed by the Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA), will not stop as snowmaking is taking place around the clock.

In addition, for the remainder of the season, pass holders can use the Gold Parking Lot for just $5 mid-week during non-holiday periods.

As conditions improve each day and the snow continues to accumulate, please log on to www.whiteface.com and get the latest info on the snow report and the Coca-Cola Snowcast.

Old NYSEF lot. It's on the left as you head up the hill toward Kid's Campus.

That's cool that they opened up Mon. for NHP holders. They are hardcore WF loyalist and had to deal with alot of tuff conditions due to the terrible weather we where having.

Totally F'n awesome. If there is a better value in all of skiing than a Gore/Whiteface non holiday season pass I don't know what it is.

There is; however, one thing WF management could do that would make a season pass even better. My home resort has this thing where for one Sunday each month they open a lift just for pass holders an hour before the rest of the mountain opens up. I wish WF could do something similar - but on a Saturday instead.

What about asking Guest Services to offer First Tracks BESIDES during President's week? If enough non-holiday pass holders ask for it, they just might offer it more often. It doesn't hurt to ask, right?

Not sure of a link... just go to the Guest Services desk in the main lodge to ask about it.

If you do get the chance to sign up (the night before you want to go), you'll be able to join an escorted group (lead by Ski School & Host Patrol) up the gondola (if its open that day) ~ 20-30 minutes before they open it up to the rest of us. Basically, you can enjoy a run (or possibly two) before the rest of us get on the lifts that day. It's free to anyone who signs up. But its only offered during xmas and President weeks this season to the first twenty or so that sign up each day.

BTW, FT has been offered on non-holiday weekends before. I guess WF mgmt doesn't see the demand to keep offering it then. Or perhaps, in your case, they haven't publicized it enough.

Thanks for the Info, I haven't heard of that program before. I will certainly make a request for FT for non holiday pass holders the next time I visit, hopefully other NHP's will do the same.

Much thanks for the info. It would really be nice if they implemented a web signup for this. As described above, the program doesn't seem practical for those who are driving in from a relatively long distance.

I've been told that management checks this sight often to see what customers are saying. Maybe they'll see your idea and run with it.

Or better yet, maybe we could coax Whiteface Willy into hooking up that Border Collie to a dog sled and go up the Mountain Iditarod style. Mush, Mush
