Mountain was good today but tricky. Good snow in the morning with nice powder topping. Very Windy with gusts of 50 MPH on top of LWF. Kept the gondi going all day but stopped often and at a snails pace. One trip took me 20 min. to get up. The wind is playing hell with the mountain. Lots of plate ice in wind exposed spots. Essex is ice and granite on top better on the bottom. Trial picks of the day were Wilderness and Lower Mac and Mt. Run. Was bummed that the upper mt. wasn't open today because of wind. They blew snow on the whole upper Mt all day. U Mac needs a grooming IMO rollers are like hard Styrofoam. UC will be sweet tomorrow. Sharpen your edges boys and girls. Those surprise ice patches come up quick. Should be a good weekend, get there early
