Conditions this past weekend were pretty decent. I expected much worse, but was pleasantly surprised. Hawkeye was great on Saturday, soft snow that could easily be pushed around. On Sunday, I expected the same Rain/Freeze thing that happened last weekend, but management must have timed the grooming right because it was actually pretty sweet. Fast, no doubt, but it didn't really start getting icy until the end of the day.

I was very impressed with the mountains' ability to hold snow. I would've expected a lot more bare spots. They even opened the bottom part of Rumor back up on Sunday. They're expecting about 3 inches today, a little more on Wednesday and continued cold temps for snowmaking up until next weekend (when warm temps creep back in). On Sunday, Snowmaking was focused on Topridge. It also looked like they had made a significant amount of snow on Hullaballoo. If they could get the High Peaks Chair up and running, it will make for a fantastic couple of days next weekend.
