Looks like we are getting some sweet lake enhancement this afternoon:

...and I don't know HOW the GFS produces this data... but as of right now this 72 snowfall estimate is out of control with dumpage:

Posting weather stoke is becoming a daily thing...there's sure is a lot of it:

Actually I think this map is selling us short. NWS has gone with a winter storm watch, which means there is a shot a 7+ inches:

A WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM
TUESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON.

SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 7 INCHES OR MORE WILL BE POSSIBLE FROM
TUESDAY AFTERNOON INTO WEDNESDAY. A COMPLEX STORM SYSTEM WITH
ABUNDANT MOISTURE WILL TRACK NORTHEASTWARD ACROSS THE APPALACHIANS
AND INTO THE NORTHEAST. MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW IS LIKELY TO FALL
WITH THIS SYSTEM.
ALSO...SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN MAY FALL FROM THE
CAPITAL DISTRICT SOUTH AND EAST WITH POSSIBLE ICING. SHOULD
CONDITIONS BECOME MORE CERTAIN...A WINTER STORM WARNING WOULD BE
ISSUED.

Very Happy

Hi All;

I will post up to the minute snowfall amounts in the morning. But, I will not be posting a detailed end of day report, because it's only half way through the week, and I do not need to be competing with any one for freshies on thurs and fri Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

Megatron - you da man. I'll take what I can get. For this thread - most interested in whether there is any NCP anytime today or tonight. Could be an issue with the latest model run.

Here's the NWS language, I'm optimistic that things should be primo above 2000':

...HIGHEST CONFIDENCE AREA THAT WILL SHOULD RECEIVE 7+ INCHES
OF SNOW WILL BE ACROSS THE SOUTHERN ADIRONDACKS...WHERE ONLY A BRIEF
PERIOD OF SLEET IS POSSIBLE ON WED...

Accuweather has put us in the WHEELHOUSE:

I know the radar can lie...but it LOOKS like it may be going back to snow.

From Garnet Hill today:

Wednesday, February 13th, 11AM +26F Snow. 5"-6" of new snow has fallen and it continues to snow/sleet. No rain has fallen here as yet...

Wednesday, February 13th, 4PM +29F Still Snowing. 6"-8" of new snow has fallen and it continues to snow.
