gore is closed today through wed. openning on thur. till sun. after that is just a guess. they can pull the rug out from underneath us at any moment snow or no snow. this is typical for gore they almost always let us down in april regardless of how much snow there is left.

I saw on channel 5 that gore was closed today. My fist thought was man those gore skiers are going to be pissed. What with that? I guess you can come up

Hmmm....let's see, Gore has more snow(way more!), does more skier visits, and it snowed 3" here this morning, but ORDA makes the BS decision to keep "THE FACE" open, and close Gore. Really makes you wish for private ownership, and makes me wonder about the clowns that run the authority, and the excellent fiscal responsibility with the use of my tax dollars

I do not think Gore has more snow but really thats not the point. It would be intersting to post skier visits at the two hill.

I think these are 06/07 numbers from the NYS website:

Gore - 225,000 skier visits
WF - 200,000 skier visits

Not sure how to measure snowfall. At least on the site, Gore no longer counts. How much falls is one thing. What the wind, sun do.. is another matter.

Anyone have any data on snowfall?

Whiteface reports 222 for the year.
