not sure what they meant by "hi-def" - the video appears in a pretty small window

too many captions like "MORE GORE" popping out every second...

nice work by cameraman though

Well...this isn't NEWS but I took a little stroll today. Down Cedars to the base of the BR Quad. They are doing a great job from what I can tell. Lots of well thought out drainage.

I got pretty excited about it. Cedars has more pitch than I imagined... it's a sort of a cross between Sunway and Twister. At least it won't be a chore. Sagamore, the black, from the bottom looks very cool. Lots of pitch at the bottom. There are some rocks below the lift that look to be Huckable after a few years and a big dump. There is real potential over there. (Charlie!) Sorry no pics, but my camera bit it at WF this year.

Has anyone else noticed that this will be, yet another, detachable lift without off line storage? While the gondola has storage, it goes unused. They've eliminated the storage barn for the Burnt Ridge chairs. This means that when there is freezing rain or icing from snow making, this lift will probably be the last to open. Following a night of icing, the lift maintenance guys often have to climb every tower to knock the ice off the wheel assemblies and then they deal with frozen grips as they enter the upper and lower terminals. Every other ski area with detachables puts the chairs away at night.

Hi All;

The choppers have been working feverishly the last two days ferrying concrete to from up the tower bases. I have attached some photos.

Do you think based on what you have seen last week, that they will have this lift done for the 2008/2009 season? We are not far from 1st snow (2 months) and I don't see any towers up yet.
THanks for the continued updates. Eric

The concrete needs 2 weeks of cure time. The towers are scheduled to be put up around the first week of October. Official opening of the chair will hopefully be determined by snow!

Yeah . . . Solid Picture . . . That one trail (Sagamore?) looks like it would be sick on a powder day.

I want to see Cables on those lifts, though!!!! C'mon . . . The snow flies tonight!!!
