im comin up on sunday and planning on skiing mon , tues. how are the conditions doing. i know all the rain put a big hit on WF and reading that someone died fron the ice. has the recent snow helped out any. if not how about the conditions at gore. im puttin in an 11 hour drive so any help would be great. thanks

I'm a HUGE Whiteface fan, but I can honestly say that I wouldn't drive 11 hours for the conditions as they were today ... I've skied WF every weekend since mid December, and without a doubt, today's conditions were the "firmest" I've seen this season. It's simply the natural result of 50 degree temps and rain one day, followed by 20 degree temps for the next four or five.
