Looks like the mountain is picking up some snow this evening. The temps seem right and the radar is lit up. Can anyone confirm?

Yes, it has been snowing lightly since midday on the mountain. The lower half was gettin' some wet snow, but the upper half was gettin' much lighter and drier snow when I left ~4PM. They're currently makin' snow on Lower Northway, Connector to Lower Cloudspin (which was open again today), John's Bypass as well as Boreen, Brookside, Danny's Bridge & Wolf. 15 trails open today and more trails and snow expected for the weekend!

BTW, the skiing was sweet today with a light coating of snow on top o' man made. Definitely lookin' good for this weekend!

P.S. 2 inches have fallen since 4PM in LP @ ~2K ft. with more on the way!

Its snowing like crazy again. If this keeps up for a few hours we will pick up a few inches. Today they were blowing snow on Northway, Johms by-pass and lower sky. The temps were around 25 and the wind stopped blowing in the afternon. It was sloppy deep man made, oh so fun.
Tomorrow put your long johns on it going to be a cold one.

Forecast looks good, 4 to 6 inches today with another 4 to 6 tomorrow. Would be a great start to the season if it holds true.

According to the graphics on 5's 6 o'clock news last night, Whiteface was in the 14+ shading.
