I don't think I ever saw a sleet build up like that, had to be around 3 inches. Better then getting all rain of course, but during the day Saturday you could look at the radar and see the snow just 10-20 miles away. We kept saying the line was sure to move our way, but the sleet just kept coming. It hurt when you where skiing down and it was hitting your face too. Oh well, can't do anything about the weather, but complain.

A zillion mini-ball bearings per square inch. Interesting drive scenario for sure. Better than rain though any which way you slice it.

First and foremost, hope everyone is ok. That said, I'm torn between being thankful for a base positive event overall, or wishing you got rain for the trees sake, not to mention local convenience. But we are not far from the days when we'll be feasting on spring corn, so the positive base the sleet provides is welcome. Anything that works toward extending the season is better than base eating rain.
