I know Pataki did a lot for Whitface and was an avid snowsports entusiast, but what about Spitzer?

He was pretty instrumental in backing up the Bellayre (sp?) developement deal, and, other than that, I have no clue.

Regardless, whatever he tried to do, he certainly won't be doing it any more.

I sure do hope the new guy finds a soft spot in his heart for the State's ski industry. He certainly has a much better reputation in the North Country than "Pro-better-blues", and that's encouraging.

I know Patacki and Spitzer were skiers. I kinda don't think Paterson is.
