I believe chairs are going on the LWF double soon, today or tomorrow. Not sure about the load test.
Gore definitely won't be open this week. They hope to start blowing again on Wednesday night.
I skied Saturday and Sunday. No doubt cover was thin, but honestly I had a blast. Spring...
Whiteface has been blowing since Weds PM.
LWF chair is not up but we're optimistic that it will be in the next few weeks.
Caught up with Bruce McCulley and it looks like the double should be in really good shape for the season.
The entire upper half (above mid-station) is getting a serious overhaul.

Big Tupper Lower Mountain Tour
Was a gray day but still some reasonable shots...
I've got this fascination with BT that I don't fully understand. I've never skied there.
I didn't realize until this year that I've actually been on the summit of Mt. Morris. It was summer after...

Ted - what can you tell us about the time frame and scope of improvements coming to Gore? What will we see by Thanksgiving in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009....with regard to lifts, trails, snow making,...
The days are gettting shorter. It's the first step. The next step is 7/21 when the northern hemisphere actually starts to COOL.
Still, I forbid myself to watch any tele videos until Labor Day.

I'm 99.9% sure that the legislature overrode the veto and it's a done deal. Check the ATU. I couldn't find the link.

I was up at our place last weekend. It looked like at the top, everthing but Chatiemac and Open Pit, had "decent" coverage. If you were willing to hike the Schaeffer.....Also I drove to the parking...
Tin Woodsman,
Great job on the mountain planning. I agree that that's a big chunk of change for close to zero benefit.
