I heard about that too. There have to be some pics out there that belong in here!

Well the 5.5 isn't just for the gondola. Its for the new trail system too. I think its going to improve Gore and I'm in favor of it.

With Tuesday's override of Pataki's veto frenzy, it looks like we have our Gondola/taxi and expansion plan back in shape.
Out of curiosity, what does KHS stand for?
Could someone explain the pumphouse gang to me? From what you say, they sound like a bunch of tools.
Tin Woodsman- nice work on the planning! They are putting in the burnt ridge lift in your second map, in addition to the gondola. I think part of the plan for the gondola is, as someone stated, a...
They are opening more skiable terrain at the ski bowl and a lifts up both the ski bowl and Burnt Ridge, so the long gondola isn't the only way to go. There are going to be trails coming down the...
Is there anyone up in the Gore area that can post some details about Gore's reported snowfall?
Also- any reports from last weekend?
I save 250 bucks + a tan Wa in the picture = purchase in July :)
Maybe I'm missing something, but that strikes me as a little weird.
How would we go about getting one of these? I would also love one of the old gondi cabins from Gore. :)
I really wanna go to Alta/Snowbird next year.
Can't find the expansion map, but here's the map when they first put the new gondi in.

Welcome Hugh! So are you our resident insider on the expansion plans? :)
I generally avoid the bottom and gondola during mid day too, but if you are there early, there are some good runs if you want fast groomers. Get there early enough to be ready to get on the gondola...
There weren't any alpine ski events in the 32 olympics.
Once again, I'm getting the snow down here instead of the Adirondacks. While I am loving the snow, its useless here when we need it upstate to ski on.
To make matters worse, I also have to deal...
Ouch... accidents happen, probably more often on the highway than skiing- but its always pretty disturbing when things like this happen. When was the last time someone died at Gore prior to this?
Yesterday Rumor had bumps, but Lies was steep, fast, and icey at the top. Open Pit was good, Hullabaloo was good, and Hawkeye was good.
I was there Sunday and I also found the conditions better than I expected. Hawkeye was ok too- that little drop before it crosses under the chair was the iciest but the rest wasn't too bad. ...
At least the beginers can ski the carpet, Gore is closed!
OK, I got some more I gotta find and post. Am I going to be the only one?
Cool, I'll have to check that out this weekend too. Seems there are lots of "used to be" places at gore that were cut or used for something at one point. We should make a trail map with all of this...
Check out this topo map of Gore. Like a lot of the topos and aerials I have found online, its an old one. There's no Rumor, Lies, long Open Pit, etc.. Still has the old Gondie on it. ...
