I agree, you should always either lock or separate your skis. It is such a simple thing to do and can save a lot of hassle. That being said, it is easy to become complacent. I had a lock, but I...

I just don't get how people do that.
Same thing kind of happened to me at Okemo this year. Come out after lunch and my skis were gone....and there was another pair of the same model and length a...
But how was the skiing?
For those who like to roam the edges and scour the fringes and find the places where the snow blows into I'm sure there is some powder to be found, but it really sounds like conditions suck right...
Not that anyone around here would suggest it ;).....but anyone who might have thought of heading to Stowe this weekend would be arriving to the foot and a half (so far) of powder they have gotten in...
Non Holiday weekend rates at other east coast resorts:
Killington 72
Mount Snow 71
Stratton 71
Okemo 69
Sugarbush 63
As far as I can tell Vail is 81.
Oh, so when he really wants it and trains hard he can make the podium. Too bad that isn't how he approached the whole season, but he did make it clear that results weren't what was most important to...
Seeing as a professional SBX rider died on the mountain during a routine training run on a fall that probably wasn't unlike some you'll find in the park, especially from those who are throwing bigger...
Hey, I couldn't care less whether or not there was a pipe, but I'd have to go with the halfpipe being low on the WF priority list as much as I'd blame mom nature. As you point out, plenty of other...
I got a portabel boot dryer for $20. Plug it in, takes about an hour.[/quote]
Sorry, I should have specified that for those too cheap to spend $20, without removing the liner, etc., etc...........;).
I do think Lange makes a better boot, not that Nordica doesn't make pretty darn good boots :D . If Lange is the master, Nordica plays a pretty darned good second fiddle......but it is still second...
Anybody else remove the liners from their boots each night to dry them out?
Of all the people I've skied with, nobody else does this. Listen, I'm not one prone to excessive sweating, but even on...
The gloves are a tough one. The watreproof label added to most gloves/mittens usually doesn't mean much, in my experience. I've had so many different pairs, and haven't really found one brand to be...
Yes, but sometimes trying to be all things to all people isn't a good thing. Jack of all, master of none, if you know what I mean.
They may not have a menu like Nordica, but if you can get...
Ok, so that possible snow tonite into tomorrow is really only going to be an inch and a half of rain to go with the 50 degree temps........along with a trail count that has dropped into the 50's. ...
Yeah, found some more news regarding the incident.
Cause of death was apparently multiple internal injuries from the hard landing.
Ok, did a little more digging. Swedish snowboarder died during a practice run. That is such a shame. Prayers for his family.
Anybody know anything about the circumstances? Saw a picture of the...
Sunday's SBX final cancelled due to "unforseen circumstances"? What's that all about? Poor snow conditions, something else, anybody know?
Accuweather is showing cold air back in place by Wed of next week, with 4 inches of snow in the forecast Monday night into Tuesday.
My pleasure. Hey, here's an idea for you. Can you access profiles with your moderator powers? If so, you go ahead and give everyone an avatar. Make it something they hate and they'll be forced to...
Yup, just resizing worked. However, by cropping first I was able to focus in on a tighter shot of the image that I wanted. More of the chute, less of the scenic mountains.
Probably right. I'm no expert, so my first attempt to make the photo fit was cropping. When it was still too big I resized. Resizing from the beginning probably would have been easier/better. ...
If you have any photo editing software on your machine you can use that to crop and resize the image until it fits. I took the RSN Shot of the Day of the Slides and cropped it until it was below 15...
RSN Shot of the Day is from the Slides, today at 11:30. If they are open tomorrow I'll take some shots of my own.
No prob. Thanks for the help.
