Based on all the downed trees along Rt 73 and the seemingly unending convoys of electric utility trucks I saw heading North on my drive South, I'm not surprised there were power problems. I was amazed we didn't lose power in Lake Placid during the night!

It certainly was about the worst weekend of the season, but hey ... you can't win them all!!!

    Better luck next week!

They finally opened Mixing Bowl and Bear. Kids could use the pipe anyway. Tuff day.
The Stone Age didn’t end because people ran out of stones.

I was around until noon, hoping they'd open at least some fixed grip lifts. Thinking about Freeway Double which appears well shielded from the winds.

While waiting I earned a glade run: climbed up to Brookside/Runner Up intersection and skied down Silver Glades.

The snow was hardpack and no ice - not bad at all.
