    This Saturday....Apple Butter Open ---Free to anyone sign up at Guest Services before 11am. The event will take place on the bottom of Drapers Drop (Tower 10 hill) at Noon. Same location as last year. Originally it was to be held at the base of Boreen, but the snow is far superioir on Draper's.
    Forrence Orchards is once again bringing in cases of delicious apples for the winners!

    Next Saturday, April 12 Pond Skimming Contest. Sign up at Guest Services by 11am the event kicks off at high Noon.

    High Peaks Cyclery is hosting a second Randonnée Rally Race on Sunday, April 13 at Whiteface. The race begins at 7 am. After the race, there will be a post-race party in the Cloudspin Lounge featuring awards, food, drinks and raffle prizes provided by High Peaks Cyclery.

    The Randonnée Rally features a mass LeMans start with two course options. Athletes may choose to race the short course in which they will climb to mid-station before descending, or they can choose the more difficult Long Course Race where athletes will climb approximately to the top of Mountain Run before descending to the base area. Exact course details will be released on race day as courses will be weather and condition dependent.

    While climbing, all skiers must use climbing skins, and either telemark skis or AT skis for the descent. No snowshoes or boot packing will be allowed.

    The $10 registration fee will be donated to the Whiteface conservation efforts. Athletes may register online at highpeakscyclery.com; pick up a registration form at High Peaks Cyclery at 2733 Main Street, Lake Placid; or register the day of the race outside of Guest Services at Whiteface.     Meet "Admin" Greg at Whiteface April 4

    WILMINGTON, N.Y. – The top Northeast Skiing Forum administrator Greg will make an appearance at Whiteface Mountain on Friday April 4 in the base lodge Food Court.

    Greg aka "Admin" will ski with SKIADK forum members on Friday He will conclude the on-hill portion of his day at 2 PM by inviting Whiteface forum members to ski down Lower Valley with him. Skiers should meet at the mid-station lodge.

    From there, Greg will hold an autograph session in the Food Court until 3:30. The Connecticut native will leave Whiteface Mountain same day.
