    Hmmm, I was thinking of blowing off work maybe tomorrow and putting in a day on the hill, but now after reading some of your posts, it sounds like it's very much like a skating rink. True?

    I have one of those jobs where if I don't come in, I don't get paid, (I'm a retired and working as a consultant, so no more vacation days for me!! ).

    Happy New Year everybody...pray for the natural, as they're not gonna make much it seems!

    this lack of snowmaking better straighten out soon.

    i know about the budget cuts but somethings to factor in:

    diesel/gas is ~half the cost of last year.

    electricity/energy costs are down as well. national grid is refunding me money cuz my budget plan was paid ahead due to lower costs.

    season pass sales are up as well.

    I have to give the grooming crew a lot of credit. The ice rink was on Thursday and conditions on Friday and Saturday were fine. I would expect good conditions on the open terrain for tomorrow.
