    Todays Picture of the Day

    Anyone see today's POD? the caption is "We couldn't believe how perfect it was!"
    .... were they talking about the view? I couldn't ski today, but I heard it was pretty awesome..ly terrible.

    What the POD doesn't explain is that those two boarders just slid on their backsides for the previous 75 yards before coming to a stop at that spot.

    AM was ridiculously slick with very limited terrain open. Heard they couldn't start grooming until 4am which is why most of the trails were closed.

    Hawkeye and Lies weren't too bad--I was surprised. They were groomed out nice. Pine Knot was interesting with that hockey rink on the lower half.

    Topridge chair was excellent in the afternoon--very spring like.

    Given the horrible weather on Friday, I thought the grooming crew did a nice job. Very limited terrain early, but twister and showcase opened late morning while topridge and uncas opened around noon. Topridge and uncas held up well until late in the day. For Sunday most of the mountain was open but was pretty scratchy by early afternoon.
