Touring bindings

I want to get a pair for the girl. Do you need a set of 'touring boots' or can you just use your ski boots? If anyone knows of a good deal on a pair let me know

Most will accept an alpine boot. But if they are indeed going to be used for touring of any length you should really give some thought into AT boots. I have one setup I use with my alpine boots, but only for resort slackcountry. I wouldn't even think about an all day tour on them
