I wondered who owned that wonderful stretch of property... Granted I dont think anything will happen soon, but the closer the ownership of this property is to the town, the faster or more effficient things will occur. Example Boat Ramp....DUH.
I am all about saving buildings...reference the white building, but only if they have historical, artistic or otherwise import...what is so special about that building?
Restoration, especially structural, is very expensive...there has to be a better reason than...because its old.
Of note: The town should have a wood expert take a look at it...the salvage value of the old wood may persuade reasonable people to tear it down....then the historical value of the building lives on...in someone elses home/office. Town can benefit from salvage fees.
Idea---Monthly camping and concerts. Build a big campfire and get some local guitarists etc. Charge 20 bucks to set uup the tent. This cant occcur without bathrooms as mentioned earlier....but on that note..make sure some showers are included. Even if just cold water.
