    Weather

It's still summer, but have any of you weather specialists heard anything about winter trends for the Northeast yet?

According to the latest Bridget (e-mail) Blast from WF:

"Some good news moving into the 2010-11 Winter Season ......has anyone noticed that there have been a lot of spiders lately? Well I have and it means it is going to be a long hard winter!"

I'm no expert, but she could have something here.

Our weather guy doesn't start until Nov 1. If you can believe that. I'm thinking about cutting his pay.

This year is a La Nina - which should range between mediocre to good, depend on how strong it is.

If you buy into the long term forecasting, I'd say ski early and ski often!

Actually I thought that Lionel's FIS long term was excellent, good analysis with some optimism mixed in.
