    3637 Miles in 50 days....

    I know it is not skiing .... but thought some of you might like to see this.

    My family & I will be heading to Astoria, Oregon where we will begin to pedal to Portsmouth New Hampshire. 3637 miles in 50 days. We will be raising money to fight Cancer with donations going directly to the Lance Armstrong Foundation.

    We are at $10,830 so far... (hopefully the foundation will update their website soon to reflect the latest donations).

    I am getting excited... only 132days till we leave...

    it is a very good cause... if you are able

    PS-- I will be sking GORE this comimg Thursday Friday and Saturday (Feb 8/9/10) It is looking better had 3 good days there in Jan (18/19/20)

    Just remember to oil your chain and top off other fluids when you hit 3000 miles, you might want to go for a tire rotation as well.

    will do ... Oil change at 3000 ---Check

    by the way we will be riding accross New York .... basically coming in at Niagra Falls then along the old Erie Canal... all the way to Albany then exiting into Vermont. We will not be in the Adirondaks though....but after the Sierra's --- Tetons --- Black Hills ... I will be ready for a bit of flater terrain

    yep.... should be cool...

    I am looking ofrward to hitting Gore this coming week --- a bit a variety from the bicycle

    Trip Update

    We are down to 13 days till departure.... We fly to Oregon on the 14th then begin to pedal east on the 17th

    well we are in Oregon and getting ready to head east on Monday June 18th

    GOOD LUCK to you and everyone else involved, it sounds like one hell of a trip, and a worthy cause as well, man i wouldnt even want to drive that far much less ride a bike, truely an awsome feat. by the time you get rested back up it will be ski season[nice]. well take care and have a great time of it.

    The ride went well.....

    3,791 miles

    11 states and part of Ontario

    the Cascades the Rockies The Tetons The Black Hills The Green and the White Mountains

    over 122,000 feet of vertical climbed

    over $25,000 raised for the Lance Armstrong Foundation

    and get this .....NO RAIN the whole trip

    only 5 flat tires total for the 4 of us

    IT WAS AN AWESOME EPIC ADVENTURE

    I still can not get the grin off my face and I have been home since August 8th
